Imagine a world in which you simply plug in your
computer device to an existing power outlet and you
are instantly connected to the internet. The concept behind PLC is that simple. |

The largest installed network in the world is the
electrical grid, which reaches approximately 92 percent
of the worlds population. If a process could be discovered to take advantage of this
network, by allowing
digital data to be transmitted along with the electricity, the savings in time and money
to have the world
connected to an affordable internet would be drastically reduced. |

TTICL with its Connext series of products allows
this to happen. The Connext series provides high-speed
broadband communication over existing powerlines. |

Internet users are becoming more
demanding. They want more graphics, animation, computer games, music,
videos, and other internet applications. With this demand we have seen that file sizes on
the internet have
continue to grow. The response from the current internet providers has been ISDN, ADSL,
CATV, and
Wireless broadband systems. |

The infrastructure costs for these
systems are very high. PLC can work with these technologies as the
“Last Mile” or “Last 100 Yards” solution. PLC also has the ability to
work completely on its own
to offer broadband internet communication through the power utilities. |

In the past other companies have
created PLC technology which helped pave the way for the Connext series
of products. There were two inherent problems with these systems: |
|
|
|
1. The speed of the network (approx 1
– 6 MBPS)
2. Only usable on the Low Voltage side of the power grid (from transformer to home) |

|
|
|
TTICL and the Connext series of
products over comes both of these problems. Our current speed is 45
MBPS and we are committed to increasing it to 200 MBPS in the near future. |

|
|
TTICL has also developed a medium
voltage system, which dramatically increases the penetration capability
of PLC by transmitting along the higher Voltage Powerlines. |
